A 4th of July well spent at the Aruba Marriott.
Honey Bakes by Lu

If anyone knows how to throw a party that is the Aruba Marriott Resort.
No expense was spared last night for the 4th of July celebration and guests enjoyed every minute of it. From burgers, hotdogs, salads, and sweets, the menu was truly iconic. And the bar was as lit as the firework show at the end. The people from Balashi released the can presentation of Magic Orange Beer. A new favorite. It was a party like no other on the island.
Nespresso truck downtown
Honey Bakes by Lu

We love a truck on this blog but what better than a Nespresso coffee truck? actually obsessed.
Located downtown Oranjestad, across Royal Plaza Mall, this truck serves the worldwide famous Nespresso coffee with a smile. I asked for an Oatmilk cappuccino and it was fantastic.
There is a huge variety to choose from. Fancy!
Fuel your shopping spree with a good cup of coffee!
The only Lobster Roll there is.
Honey Bakes by Lu

Ordering a Lobster Roll sometimes is tricky! You never know if it's gonna be worth the investment... because they are never cheap. Well, I have found the best in Aruba and it's at Waves, the restaurant by the beach at Marriott Aruba Resort. Comes in a soft Brioche bun, and the lobster chunks are plenty. Just the right amount of dressing traditionally made with celery. If it ain't broken don't fix it! Cajun fries on the side. Gorgeous. $22 and worth every penny.
Bingo! I found a Carpaccio as big as a pizza.
Honey Bakes by Lu

Bingo! has always been a place where I usually go for a casual dinner, no fuss. The last time I visited, a beef Carpaccio seemed ideal. They offer small and large portions of almost everything on their menu which is brilliant. To my surprise, this Carpaccio was MASSIVE! almost the width of the table. Delicious and simple: Thin slices of raw beef topped with shaved Parmesan cheese, pine nuts, capers and drizzled with basil olive oil. Dinner menu here $21.50 #Ipaidforthis
Let's enjoy a Purple Sunset.
Honey Bakes by Lu

Po-Ké Ono (click here for location) is back at it with the cocktails. This time while at a meeting I was offered to try this new concoction (still off the menu) and It was wonderful. It's called Purple Sunset and the base is Spirited Union Pink Grapefruit & Rose Botanical Rum. All mixed with white cranberry juice, crème de Cassis, and lastly Blueberry & Frangipani Syrup. Super smooth to taste but trust you'll feel it hitting your head. #Ipaidforthis
Pizza Italia makes the legit stuff.
Honey Bakes by Lu

Pizza Italia, located on the main road of Ponton (location here) in a tiny store has been making waves for a long time so my visit was long overdue. Let me tell you, their stuff is the real deal. The quintessential look with the char and flour dust lets you know it is the authentic Neapolitan style. The flavor of the dough is unparalleled. Toppings and sauce in perfect proportion. Taste is incredible and prices are reasonable. They also sell delicious bread by the kilo (Afl. 10 p/kg). Everything made by a real Italian! I am a devoted fan now.
Así es mi Perú food truck for a change.
Honey Bakes by Lu

For quite some time I've been passing by the food truck from Así es mi Perú by Eagle Beach (Location here) until I finally decided to go last week. The prices are INCREDIBLE and the food is very tasty! Fatima, the lady in charge is all smiles too. The Ceviche, Causa and Chupe are the winning horses. Drop by, place the order and wait having a cold Cusqueña. You wont regret it and your wallet will be happy. Open from 12PM til 8PM.

Gelato & Co. is the best. Sue me.
Honey Bakes by Lu

If there were Gelato awards Gelato & Co. would snatch them all. Located at the lobby of the Aruba Marriott Resort. It will cost you a buck but it will be so worth it. Everything is natural and made daily. Go try the REAL DEAL, stop settling for those supermarket frozen-for-months containers. Pictured here is one scoop of 72% chocolate and cherry crunchy. Boom.
A Prikichi Geel Lives at Po-Ké Ono
Honey Bakes by Lu

An impromptu lunch out on Saturday led me to discover new things at Po-Ké Ono. New Filipino cuisine items on the menu like the Mami Soup (massive and delicious) and the most instagrammable cocktail I've seen! Prikichi Geel. Made with Varadero Rum, Galliano, home-made banana syrup, horchata and Passion Fruit juice. Perfect August refreshment.🦜

Let me tell you it's the best banana bread in Aruba. Reach out on their insta @honeybakesbylu and place an order. Thank me later.
