The restaurant at Tierra del Sol has entered an exciting new chapter under a fresh name: The Birdie! And I'm here to give you the inside scoop on their can't-miss Friday Tapas Affair: a weekly ritual that’s quickly becoming a local favorite.

It’s Friday. The weekend is just kicking off. You’re searching for the perfect spot to unwind, sip something delicious, and shake off the workweek. Let me make it easy for you: head straight to The Birdie.

Recently renovated under the Iberostar Group’s new management, the space has been beautifully reimagined. With stunning views, a relaxed yet refined ambiance, and that timeless country club elegance, The Birdie offers a truly elevated way to start your weekend.
Enjoy this gallery of images that really show off the improvements made and the stunning aesthetic of the place:
And the best part?
50% off all cocktails, beers, and wines! Yes, the entire bar menu! Plus, a curated Tapas Menu that hits every craving, from crisp and fresh to rich and indulgent.

What to Drink?
Anything your heart (and taste buds) desire. From Aperol Spritz and Prosecco to classic Margaritas and Martinis, the options are endless, and all half off during the afternoon, 5:30 to 7:30 PM.

I went with a spicy margarita and a cosmopolitan while soaking in panoramic views of the golf course and the rugged north coast. Pure bliss.
What to Eat?
The tapas menu may be compact, but it’s packed with variety and flavor. Every dish is crafted with intention, and trust me, once you read the descriptions, you'll want to order one of everything.
Mediterranean Delight $28
Jamón serrano, manchego cheese, hummus, fig jam, and olives served with sourdough.

A mini charcuterie board to kick things off. This one’s a crowd favorite.
Tuna Tostada $11
Tuna sashimi, wakame, avocado, ají amarillo, citrus soy.

Refreshing, bright, and full of flavor—the perfect bite for a warm afternoon.
Surf & Turf $14
Beef tataki, tempura shrimp, truffle mayo, ponzu sauce.

Go for the shrimp first, then dive into the beef and truffle mayo combo, it’s a knockout.
Shrimp “Al Ajillo” $12
Sautéed in garlic and served with French baguette.

A classic Spanish-inspired dish. Order it with a gin & tonic and you’ll feel transported to a terrace in Madrid.
Gyozas $12
Chicken and vegetable dumplings with soy reduction and lemon mayo.

An unexpected but welcome addition to the lineup. Crispy, juicy, and full of umami—don’t skip it.
Albondigas $9
Meatballs in tomato sauce with parmesan crumble.

Hearty and satisfying. The tomato sauce has just the right touch of sweetness.
Truffle Mushroom Risotto $12
Creamy, earthy, and generous in portion. This one borders on a main dish and is perfect for sharing.

End your meal here and head into your night totally satisfied.
Final Thoughts
The Birdie is officially my go-to spot to relax after a long week. Away from the traffic and crowds, it’s a tranquil escape where you can truly enjoy the moment, good drinks, good food, good-looking people, and the best views of the golf course and north coast.

Mark my words: this place is going to become a staple on the island’s social map. Be an early adopter, make friends with the staff, and thank me later when it’s the hottest reservation in town.
What’s Next?
Beyond the Tapas Affair, the team at The Birdie is already crafting more magical experiences:

Weekend Brunch – yes, brunch is back every Saturday and Sunday
Poolside activations – perfect for refreshing during the hot days
So go ahead, make The Birdie your new Friday tradition. I’ll see you there. 🍸✨
